Beverley Beck is a short canal in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The beck runs from Grovehill Lock on the River Hull at Beverley west for about 0.8 miles into the town of Beverley. There's a nice footpath running along the pretty beck which you can pick up just to the east of the Minster and train station. The path runs for just under a mile until it joins with the River Hull. The canal is now it is home to the historic barge 'Syntan' owned by the Beverley Barge Preservation Society.

The historic building is located just off the A614 near the village of Skidby and surrounded by picturesque countryside. Built-in 1821, the windmill has been grinding grain for nearly two centuries! It produces its own wholemeal flour, ground between one of its three pairs of millstones and powered by its four 12-meter sails, each weighing more than 1.25 tonnes apiece.

Tophill Low Nature reserve is an active Yorkshire Water treatment works built in 1959. It formally opened as a nature reserve in 1993 and features 12 hides spread across a 300-acre site that flanks the river Hull. The reserve is open daily from 9am to 6pm. St Helen’s Well is a natural spring in the amphitheater setting of an old chalk and flint pit. It is sited just east of the hamlet of Santon in the Little Ouse valley. Water rises here directly from the Chalk bedrock. The Mediaeval site of St Helen’s Church is an interesting historical feature close by, marked by hummocky ground west of the quarry.

Humber Bridge Country Park is a beautiful 48 acre wood with open meadows and wildlife ponds and so more. The majestic chalk cliffs which surround the park on three sides and look like they are snow-covered give rise to the park's local name of Little Switzerland. The tree-covered chalk terraces of the old chalk quarry offer dramatic views over the River Humber and towering Humber Bridge. One of the nice walking trails and also a good place to spend some leisure time.

Hessle Foreshore is situated in front of the Humber Bridge Country Park on the River Humber. Being at the start of the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail it is great for walkers. You can either go down onto the stones, or you can follow Jean’s Walk all the way along to the main part of the Foreshore. The path is part of The Yorkshire Wolds Way and is great for bikes or scooters and you can follow it along the banks of the river Humber.

North Cave Wetlands is a true example of a 21st Century nature reserve, developed in the footprint of a large sand and gravel quarry. It is is a peaceful place for a walk and to bird watch. There are also little ponds with dragonflies flying about. It is free to enter and park. It’s a great place to spend a day.

Wassand Hall is a fine Regency House in beautiful tranquil surroundings between Seaton and Hornsea on the B1244, approximately 12 miles east of Beverley, 18 miles north of Hull. The Estate has been in one family ownership since 1530 and enjoys beautiful walled gardens, woodland walk and half-mile park walk with views of Hornsea Mere which belongs to the Estate.

The Driffield Navigation is actually made up of a number of linked waterways situated in East Yorkshire to the north of the Humber. The main part of the route is the River Hull while at the northern end is Frodingham Beck and the Driffield Canal. The navigation gradually became more profitable, and although railways arrived at Driffield in 1846, the navigation continued to prosper and increase its traffic until the 1870s, after which there was a gradual decline.
