Lago di Tenno

The Lake Tenno is a lake located in the municipality of Tenno, just steps away from the medieval village of Canale di Tenno. The basin is of unique origin and was formed following the landslide of the hill of Ville del Monte which blocked the course of its tributary. The lake has an area of approximately 195,190 m² and is the sixth-largest lake in Trentino.

In the eighties , in the autumn of 2009 and in November 2011, part of the lake was tinged with red by the flowering of the alga oscillatoria rubescens , an indicator of an increased trophy of the lake.
