It is a lofty hill range in Karnataka which is well known for its flora and fauna. It is considered to be the wildlife corridor that connects the Eastern Ghats to the Western Ghats.
This is a protected area and a tiger reserve along the western ghats. First declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 2008 and enlarged in 2011.
Also called as Lower Bhavani dam, located on the Bhavani river. This is the second-largest earthen dam in the world. A huge dam and a beautiful garden is associated with it.
