The Sasso di Simone is a huge block of limestone that rises like a regular parallelepiped from the mountains of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, reaching an altitude of 1204 m asl and dominating the Montefeltro region. Today it is part of the Sasso di Simone Nature Reserve between the province of Arezzo and the province of Pesaro-Urbino.
