About Fiastrone

The Fiastrone river is a short watercourse in the Marche that flows entirely in the province of Macerata.  The stream originates in the municipality of Bolognola , in the Sibillini Mountains, and ends after 34 km as a right tributary of the Chienti river near Belforte.  Its waters feed, at an altitude of 640 meters above sea level, the Lake of Fiastra built in the fifties and barred by an imposing arch-gravity dam. It was flowing through picturesque locations and it attracts a lot of tourists he
