The valley of the Aterno identifies the valley, located in the northern part of the province of L'Aquila, in Abruzzo, largely coinciding with the hydrographic basin of the Aterno river, that is, it runs from its source, located in the Monti dell ' massif. Alto Aterno in the territory of Montereale, until it enters the Pescara river near Popoli.  One of the good trekking destination and also you can spend some nice time here.
