Winter (October to March) – The Best Time to Visit

This is the most popular and tourist-friendly season in the Andaman Islands. The temperature ranges from 20°C to 30°C, making it perfect for sightseeing, beach lounging, and all kinds of outdoor activities.

What to do:

  • Scuba diving and snorkeling in Havelock and Neil Islands
  • Visiting Radhanagar Beach (voted one of Asia’s best)
  • Kayaking in the mangroves of Baratang
  • Exploring Ross Island, Cellular Jail, and museums in Port Blair

Summer (April to June) – Hot but Great for Water Activities

Though temperatures can climb up to 35°C, the sea remains calm, offering great conditions for water sports and diving.

What to do:

  • Glass-bottom boat rides and sea walking
  • Island hopping with fewer crowds
  • Dolphin watching and coral viewing trips
  • Enjoying discounts on accommodation and travel

Monsoon (July to September) – Lush but Rainy

If you love quiet, green landscapes and don’t mind the rain, monsoon season can offer a serene, uncrowded version of Andaman.

What to expect:

  • Off-season hotel rates
  • Beautiful rain-soaked beaches and nature trails
  • Limited access to remote islands and water sports due to rough seas

So, When Should You Visit?

If you're a first-time visitor, October to March is hands-down the best time to explore the islands in all their glory. You’ll enjoy perfect weather, full access to activities, and unforgettable sunsets.

But if you're okay with a little heat or rain, summer and monsoon can offer peaceful and budget-friendly alternatives—ideal for a relaxed vacation away from the tourist rush.
