About the Activity

During this tour, we will visit Kaunas, the provisional capital of Lithuania during the interwar period and now the second-largest city in the country. It’s worth exploring the Old Town, the castle grounds, and the modernist buildings while discussing pre-war independent Lithuania and the lives of its people. We will stroll through Kaunas Old Town, visiting the castle, cozy streets, the remnants of several churches, and the Old Presidential Palace. Kaunas modernism is unique and increasingly recognized, showcasing architectural innovation. We will take the historic funicular to enjoy panoramic views of the city. As part of the tour, we will also visit Pažaislis Monastery, an enriching experience that highlights the region's cultural heritage. I provide this tour from Vilnius, including pickup and drop-off at your hotel. If you are staying in Kaunas, I can meet you at your hotel for a convenient start to your adventure.
