About the Activity

We offer your family and friends a fun time of tasting local wines, snacking on local appetisers whilst learning to sculpt with volcanic rock (pumice stone). The resident sculptor and owner Nicholas Katris along with his children will help each visitor design their own masterpiece which then will be carefully wrapped ready to be taken home as a souvenir. It is a 2-hour experience held in the beautiful relaxed surroundings at Melina’s Tavern right on the water’s edge of Akrotiri Beach.

Once you arrive at our restaurant, your sculpting teacher Nikos will give you a small tour of our art gallery and will show you similar sculptures like the ones you will be creating! Then, you will be seated and Nikos will give you a small introduction of the lesson, while trying out the first glass of local Nikteri wine. Then, you will choose you pumice rock and the lesson will begin. Throughout the lesson, you will try more Santorinian wines while also tasting traditional appetisers! During 2 hour lesson you Nikos will always be there to give you instructions and help you out in order to create exactly what you imagined!View Location
