Departure from the port - Stop in Egilsstadir to do the shopping for 6 days and also fill up with gas - Departure at 11am before stopping again for picnic - Arrival at the campsite in the afternoon.

EGILLSTADIR – MOCHUDALUR

We start the day by entering the national park before arriving at the campsite around noon. Free afternoon to walk around the Askja volcano, go to the site of Krafla, bathe in volcanic water etc. 

MOCHUDALUR - DREKASKALI

Sensational day with the crossing of lava sand tracks then fields of lava on a technical route in the middle of a lunar landscape, black. The second part of the day is quieter with rolling tracks. We arrive at the campsite at the end of the day to enjoy a pool of hot water at 40°. 

SIGURDARSKAL – LAUGAFELL

Quieter day than the day before. We will reach the slopes that cross Iceland on the North-South axis. We will gradually find "civilization", greenery, toursites etc. before arriving at the campsite at the end of the day. 
It is an exceptional site with its small geysers, fumaroles and other hot springs in crystalline blue.

LAUGAFELL – HVERAVELLIR

It is a two-hour hike that awaits you in Kerlingarfjoll. Lost in the heart of Iceland, Kerlingarfjöll is an exceptional geothermal site. We end the day with a visit to the Gullfoss waterfall which is one of the most visited sites in Iceland

HVERAVELLIR – GEYSIR

A day of quiet slopes that takes us in the middle of the day to the foot of the Langjökull glacier, the second largest glacier in Iceland. In order to relax and warm up, take advantage of the swimming pool and jacuzzi on the campsite (for a fee) 

GEYSIR – HUSAFELL 

It’s a long day through the Fjords of the North-West with the key to the finish on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world It’s a day of transition without difficulty with an alternation of very fast gravel roads and tar.
Long walks by the sea. Greenland is 300 kms away

HUSAFELL – MELANES 

It’s still a big day. 
In the morning: walk on the cliffs of Latrabjarg. Observation of puffins. It is the most western tip of Iceland. Walk along the cliffs.
In the late morning, visit a museum. Shopping and fuel in Patreksfjordur. 
Swimming in a torrent and a swimming pool by the sea. Very wild, the water is at 40 degrees.
Walk to the waterfalls of Dynjandi.
Camping in Pingeyri by the sea with swimming pool, kitchen, living room, washing machine.

MELANES- PINKERI 

Exceptional and difficult track (a bit dangerous) in the morning, tar and gravel without difficulty in the afternoon. 
In the morning we drive on the F622, ranked among the 10 most beautiful and dangerous tracks in the world. It is beautiful, by the sea, between high cliffs dominating the slopes and cliffs plunging into the Greenland Sea. The track rarely crosses, but in principle, everyone has done the same thing. It’s very wild.
It takes 4 to 5 hours to make the track with many stops. 
The second part of the route may seem a little more monotonous: you follow huge fjords until the evening. The campsite is by the sea and has a swimming pool. Hopefully, we’ll see seals. 

PINKERI - HEYDALUR

HEYDALUR - LOGAR

You’re driving today to Holar. This historic hamlet is located in a beautiful setting, in a wide valley surrounded by high mountains, a few kilometres from the western coast of the Tröllskagi peninsula. You sleep in a campsite in one of the few forests in Iceland.

HOLMAVIK - HOLAR

Your journey is coming to an end, but there are still other incredible activities on the program. Go on an excursion to discover whales in the fishing port of Hauganes, the chances of seeing a cetacean are very numerous. It is a widespread activity in Iceland that allows to live a magical moment. A shopping afternoon in Akureyri awaits you to bring back the best memories.

HOLAR - HAUGANES

You visit the geological site of Myvatn. The Mývatn region is one of the richest regions of Iceland from a geological point of view. Located in the north-east of Iceland, you visit Lake Mývatn which has an area of 36.5 km² which makes it the fourth largest lake in the country. The discovery of different waterfalls are also on the program of the day.

HAUGANES - DETTIFOSS

A great day of trails through the highlands awaits you. Often desert and still empty of people, the Icelandic Highlands are one of the most remote places in the country, yet its landscapes of ash desert, lava flows, volcanoes and of course imposing ice caps attract the most adventurous.

DETTIFOSS - SEYDISFJORDUR

It is time to say goodbye to this beautiful island to take the boat back to Denmark.
