What will you do: 8.30-9.30 am Guided tour of the Ortigia market with tastings , insights on local ingredients , I explain the basic recipes for cooking . 9.35 am go to the villa for the traditional cooking class. 10.00 am start of traditional cooking class. Cook & Enjoy: Prepare a seasonal family-style menu (meat, fish or vegetarian) using selected ingredients.The menu will be personalized: I will contact you before the lesson. If you have special needs for food, let them know when you book. I look forward to cooking together, discover Sicilian hospitality. If you linger , in this experience you can find a last minute at a reduced price. I'll wait for you!

Teresa invites you to immerse yourself in an authentic Sicilian gastronomic and cultural experience! Meeting point: We will meet at 8:30 am at the Ortigia market (Burgio Salumeria), located near the port where cruise ships dock. Ortigia Market Tour (8:30-9:30) Enjoy a delicious walk through the bustling market, discovering local flavors, tasting Sicilian specialties and learning about fresh and preserved ingredients. You will also receive a selection of Sicilian recipes that you will take home and Teresa will buy the ingredients useful for the lesson. ‍ Cooking class and lunch (10:00 - 13:00) The cooking class takes place in my villa with garden in the Arenella area. You will prepare a traditional three-course meal, using some of the fresh ingredients selected at the market, and savour the delicious dishes you have created. Transport: If needed I can provide transportation.The villa is located about 15 minutes from Syracuse. This experience is perfect for couples, families or friends looking for a complete and authentic gastronomic adventure. View Location

Main Courses

Fresh or dry pasta with sauce,or arancine,or impanata or pizza margherita - The pasta sauces will be with fish or vegetarian or with meat. You can specify your preferences, I can also satisfy you with a vegetarian menu.

caponata, parmigiana,bruschetta,meat or fish dish ,vegetable sweet and sour - Vegetables, fish and local and fresh meats

Deserts

Traditional Sicilian dessert ,usually dessert with fresh ricotta - We will make a dessert with local product: ricotta, almonds or pistachio, tiramisu, rolle’, almonds cake, pistachio cake, cannoli.

Meeting and Pickup

.The meeting point is in front of the ancient Salumeria Burgio at the Ortigia market. You'll need a car to get from the market to my house. I can provide transportation with an extra.You will be taken back to the market or to your apartment.View Location

Tour operator will pick up all customers from their respective locations; or, customers can make their own way to the start point

Travelers can choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
Travelers can be picked up at the airport and will pay the taxi fare. Travellers can be picked up from hotels near Syracuse at a cost of €20 per person.
Travelers will be picked up 15 minutes before departure time
