Mother Teresa statue, a Roman Catholic nun and missionary fashioned in bronze, is a Peace Nobelist of Albanian heritage. The monument, which was unveiled in 2002 in Pristina's major square named after her, employs Christian symbolism and is intended to portray Mother Teresa's weltschmerz, while the figure of the infant emerging from her draperies represents the world's least fortunate.
