We will gather at the foot of the 4X4 track, the gateway to our Mafataise immersion.
The adventure begins with 30 minutes in a 4x4 (in addition, to be paid to the driver €26/person), surrounded by the impressive ramparts. Arrived at the end of the track, we will start walking on a regular path, fording the river several times. The opportunity for your guide to tell you about the volcanic formation of the island and the history of the settlement of the circus. We will trace the traces of the first inhabitants to the first "Ilets". We will make the return journey passing as close as possible to the river, where we will enjoy a refreshing pool.
Note: This hike requires you to walk several times in the water (water depth below the knees).
Hike offered outside the rainy season. In the rainy season, we offer our hike "Sur les remparts de Mafate, le Maïdo".
A good understanding of French is necessary to participate in this activity.
Recommended minimum age: 12 years old. For any child under 12, please contact us for more information. We cannot accept minors under the age of 18 unaccompanied by an adult.View Location
