Monastero Shaolin (Shaolin Temple)
Songshan Mountain, , Dengfeng, China, 450000You will be picked up from your Luoyang hotel or accommodation at prearranged time and transferred to Shaolin Temple which is about 1.5 hour drive. Sit back and enjoy the sceneries along the way.
Once arrived at Shaoling Temple, your driver will purchase your tickets, and where he will be waiting for you, then you will enjoy your own time to explore the Shaolin Temple. After your independent Shaolin Temple tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luoyang city.
Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts. The whole complex can be thought of as three major sights within the compound.
Area One--The Kung Fu Performance

Shaolin Temple was established in 495A.D. at the western foot of Songshan Mountain. Besides, it is known that martial arts have been practiced at the temple throughout its history. Included on UNESCO's World Cultural & Natural Heritage Listin 2010, it is the cradle of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel.
Shaolin Temple embraces many exciting attractions, such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwangdian), the Mahavira Hall (Daxiongbaodian), the Pagoda Forest, the Dharma Cave and the Martial Art Training Center.
Area Three--The Pagoda Forest
The Pagoda Forest is another half-kilometer walk through a wooded path, It is a concentration of tomb pagodas for eminent monks and abbots of the temple.
